IDDI has the following departments:
Social Promotion: Focuses on topics such as Training and Community, Environmental and Vocational Organization; Child Advocacy and Literacy.
Health: Primary Health Care, Health Education, Maternal and Child Health, Prevention of HIV / AIDS, Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Physical Projects: Infrastructure, Sanitation, Community Housing and Construction Equipment.
Microcredit Center: Micro-credit business and vocational technical training.
BioIDDI: Research, biofuels, watershed management, reforestation, soil conservation.
Sustainability Center: IDDI initiatives with the private sector with support from the following companies: Karaya, S.A., Blue Nile, S.A., Almacenes de Mercancías CAMI, Cocina Industrial, Hospital Paraíso, Dominican Renewables y CBCX.
Since IDDI’s inception it has been collaborating with the various divisions of the Dominican government, both at the municipal and state level. Furthermore, it aims to develop a corporate strategy based on collaboration with both the international and private sector.
Among the many initiatives IDDI promotes, we would like to highlight: [EcoCiclo[/b], a program that collects recyclable material; Repapel, promoting products made from 100% recycled paper; Center for Climate Change and Sustainable Development, which is focused on strengthening governance, building local capacity, promoting research and training of human resources; Risk Management Unit, which aims to guide, control and direct the actions of Risk and Emergency Management; Youth Unit, whose overall objective is to promote, develop and provide young people in vulnerable areas with a space for personal growth by promoting healthy lifestyles.

As stated in its name, it works with all viruses, especially HIV, hepatitis virus and papillomavirus. IDEV is among the units for comprehensive care which offers full HIV medicine through the National Program administered by the Dominican Ministry of Health.
